This is a fun mate and I'm really glad I bought it. You do need to steep it for about 5 minutes to really get the chile flavor going. I would have liked a little more sweetness in the tea itself, but a touch of honey did the trick

This is my favorite tea from Capital Teas, and the taste just makes me feel like I can move a mountain! This mate doesn't taste like a normal mate, and I love using the chilies when I want more of a bite! This blend helps me to start the day in a really positive way or puts me in one of the best creative zones whenever I want!

This is good cold and hot. Just enough bite. I will give it five starts when they remove the “natural flavors.”

Mates are my favorite teas and I have a hard time finding them local where I am in Tampa. The Mexican Mango Chile Mate had and delicious tropical flavor with a hint of spice and I am so glad I found Capital Teas :)

I was prepared to dislike this tea. At first the mango scent is so strong, I thought it smelled like bubblegum or something sickeningly sweet. The harsh fragrance subsides during steeping and mellows out. The actual flavour of the tea is very nice and I love the peppery heat at the end. I drink this throughout the day and find it more enjoyable than the harsh caffeine of coffee.

This is my morning drink. I’ve removed coffee from my day and replaced it with tea!

Bought this as a holiday gift...it's my son's favorite morning tea...but he does have others that come very close.

I love this mate. The floral/chili pepper/mango fruit marriage is amazing. There are so many different flavors hitting you at once when you drink this, you don't know which way to turn. However, all of them work wonderfully in this mate and it's fun to sense the different flavors hitting your tongue. Each ingredient tames the other...this is not too peppery or too fruity. It's fun to give this one to others to see their reactions to the flavor bursts.

Taste the rainbow with this fruity, sweet, spicy tea. I have ordered this tea many times and even though the blend is complex it has been consistent every time.

What more is there to say? This tea is incredible!! It is smooth, but has a kick that brings nothing but pleasure. I drink other teas for the variety, but I could drink this one 24*7, all year long!

First time, I like it

This is wonderful for those days when I need a little help waking up, but I'm not in the mood for coffee.

I love the Mexican chili mate tea. The flavor can be really spicy or mild depending how strong you want it or are in the mood for. I have ordered it many times and have given it to family and friends. Everyone loves it.

My husband really love the spice kick for this one!

This tea is delicious. Nice and light, I love that I can clearly taste the mango and the chili.. if you brew it long enough. I made the mistake of only brewing for about 5 min for my first cup and was a little disappointed with the flavor. But when I followed the recommended 8-10 min steep time, it was absolutely delicious!

I was delighted that I picked this one as my first choice to try. Love it! I was expecting a little kick because of the name, but was surprised that there wasn't one. Just a smooth rich flavor.

I read this review entitled "wonderful" 1/2013 and I will confess I was so intrigued. Finally I broke down and bought all three mentioned and am now in love! I haven't tried this on its own yet so maybe when I reorder but the triple concoction is amazing. I added some extra red pepper flakes as mentioned, added a tad of stevia and a dollop of Italian cream and wow, spicey sweet and every flavor pops. I agree my new favorite. as a side, the mango mate energizer is wonderful if you don't want a kick.

Light, fruit flavor with a nice afterburn. There are chilies in it, after all.

Not a bad way to start my transition away from other tea competitors. This flavor is definitely the most intense I've ever had. This coming from someone that enjoys spicy flavors. I would not hesitate to purchase again.

While in the DC area on business my husband stopped in the store in search of a tea for my new found passion for a Mother's Day gift. Brenda gave us a mix of equal parts Rock Creek Red Chai, Mexican Mango Chili Maté and Spicy Cherry Rooibos. Add a good pinch of crushed red pepper for more heat. We are hooked! We enjoy it every single day throughout the day with out fail! Thank you for these wonderful teas!

Other Mexican Chili Mate type tea/tisanes I have had have been ok but no overly my thing! With this one, tho, I really like it! Perhaps its the addition of the MANGO, not sure, but this is pretty good! There is a LOT going on! Green Tea, Rooibos, Mate, Fruit, Flavors, Flowers, Nuts, Herbs! WOW!

The Chili is pretty intense but I like it! There are other secondary flavors that help back it up! The Mango is right behind the Chili. The rose, Ginseng, Orange, and Cherry follow. The other ingredients are more subtle! Everything seems to have its role in this! Its very involved and quite unique! Nicely done!
